Motor humming but not turning:
IMPORTANT:
SWITCH POWER OFF
-
Possibility of blown capacitor or worn bearings, call a qualied person/s
-
Possible debris in the impeller and/or diffuser causing motor lock
4.
Motor tripping earth leakage:
-
Water inside motor or burned out
-
Damaged cables
5. Motor overheating:
-
Poor ventilation, fan installed too close to wall (minimum of 5cm
unobstructed)
-
Wrong impeller tted
-
Wrong capacitor tted
-
Mechanical overload from poor quality bearings or impeller, or diffuser
blocked with grass or other solids
-
Check Ampère (amp) reading against name plate specs
6.
Pump not priming properly:
-
Installed too high above water level of pool (maximum of 300mm above
weir)
-
Sucking air
-
If pump is installed too high above the pool level, t a spring loaded non return
valve into suction line coming up from underground before entering pump
