The Radinn G2X is an electric jetboard designed for action watersports, offering a powerful, safe, intelligent, and fun riding experience. It has been developed by Radinn since 2013, with a mission to make jetboarding accessible to anyone seeking thrilling water adventures.
Function Description
The G2X is a personal watercraft powered by a high-power lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that drives a jet-propulsion system. This allows the user to ride across the water at high speeds. The speed and acceleration are controlled via a wireless handheld remote. The board is designed for use in both fresh and salt water, with water-proof battery and jet compartments. Its internal system incorporates smart functions and electrical/mechanical safety features to ensure rider safety.
The Radinn app provides connected control, allowing users to monitor battery levels, run diagnostics, and access the manual. It also enables users to set speed limits and adjust acceleration curves, which can help minimize risks of injury to the rider, objects, and other individuals. Data from the board is continuously transferred to the app, providing notifications for unusual activity and potential service needs. The app can only be used when the magnetic key is disconnected from the board.

Usage Features
Board Preparations:
- Charging the Power Packs: Connect the power cable to the supply, then the charging cable to the charger. Connect the charging cable to the Power Pack; a clicking sound indicates a proper connection. Charge until LED2 turns green. For the first use, balance the Power Pack by charging it for 24 hours. Always fully charge the battery before use and never fully discharge it.
- Charging the Hand Control: Connect the power cable to the supply, then place the throttle on the charger. One of the LEDs will start flashing. All LEDs stop flashing when fully charged. To check the battery level, gently press the throttle lever until the LEDs flash; the number of flashing LEDs indicates the battery level.
- Board Assembly - Power Pack: Place the Power Pack into the battery compartment. Push down the three spring-operated buttons and align the spring screws with the thread before screwing the lid shut, ensuring a tight seal. Flip the button lid edge into place and ensure all button lids are fully closed. The Power Pack weighs between 19 and 24 kg, so two persons are recommended for lifting.
- Pair Board with Hand Control: Attach the magnetic key leash to the kill switch holder on the board. Press the throttle lever all the way down until the LEDs start flashing, then release. Flashing LEDs indicate the throttle is attempting to connect. Once successfully paired, all five LEDs will flash once, then indicate the remaining battery of the Power Pack. If not all five LEDs light up, charge the Power Pack again. Gently push the lever to check for proper pairing.
- Board Assembly - Fins (Optional): Turn the board upside down to reveal the fin slots. Attach the fins as illustrated; they improve turning at lower speeds. To remove, reverse the procedure.
- Launch the G2X: Carefully lift the G2X out of its bag. Launch in a calm area close to the water. Never attach the magnetic key while launching. The G2X weighs up to 45 kg, so two persons are recommended for launching. Before starting, swim a bit away from shore to avoid injuring others or damaging property. Ensure water depth is at least 1.5 meters (5 feet).
General Usage:
- Start Sitting on Knees: Begin sitting on your knees, holding the front handle. Attach the magnetic key to its holder. Evenly press the throttle lever on the remote, avoiding sudden releases. Maintain thrust while evenly pressing the throttle to keep the G2X steady. After a few seconds, shift body weight forward to press the nose close to the water surface without diving. As the board accelerates, shift body weight back, maintaining constant or increasing torque.
- Standing Up: Once balance and speed are achieved, try standing up. Use one of the handles for support. Start with the front leg, slowly getting up, keeping knees bent and looking straight ahead. Shift body weight backward and forward to find the perfect stance and balance.
- Turning: Keep up speed and lean in the desired direction. Shifting weight towards the back of the board aids turning.
Common Mistakes:
- Leaning too far forward from the nose of the board.
- Decreasing thrust while leaning forward during start, causing the board to dive.
Maintenance Features
G2X Maintenance:
- Rinsing after Salt Water Use: After every surf in salt water, fill a bottle with fresh water and connect it to the jet outlet cooling connector (A). Squeeze the bottle until water passes through the system to prevent corrosion and clogging.
- Battery Compartment Protection: In the battery compartment, place the connector protection and ensure it's tightly sealed around the battery connector.
- Board Cleaning: Rinse the entire board with fresh water to remove all salt and prevent corrosion. Dry the board before storing it in its bag or other equipment. For long-term storage, do not attach the connector protection.
- Storage: Store the G2X in a dry location at room temperature (15–28 °C / 59–82 °F).
- Jet Outlet Check: Before running the jet outlet, always check for plastic or other debris. Turn the G2X upside down and look into the jet intake. Always disconnect the battery and magnetic key before removing foreign objects.
- Cleaning: Clean the G2X with common car wax, using a clean cloth to avoid scratching the paint.
G2X Power Pack Maintenance:
- Storage: Store the Power Pack in a dry room at room temperature (15–28 °C / 59–82 °F).
- Charging before Use: Fully charge the battery before using it.
- Charging before Storage: Always fully charge the battery before storing it. Charge and balance it at least every two months when not in use to prevent permanent breakdown.
- Regular Charging: Charge the battery fully regularly (at least every other month).
- Discharge Prevention: Never fully discharge the battery. If using a Radinn Speed Charger, use the standard G2X Power Pack Charger once every ten charging cycles to maximize battery life.
The G2X is a powerful electric vehicle and must be operated responsibly and with caution. Users must be experienced swimmers aged 16 or older. Individuals with pacemakers and pregnant women are restricted from use. Never operate under the influence of alcohol, medication, or drugs, or if not feeling completely healthy. Always wear tight-fitting clothing, a swimming cap/hairnet if hair is long, a coast-guard approved life-jacket, and a helmet. Maintain a minimum 20-meter distance from people or objects at slow speed. Observe battery state and return to shore with good margins. Follow local laws and regulations. Use only in sheltered waters with a life-guard and rescue boat nearby. Do not put body parts or objects into the jet-propulsion intake or exhaust due to rotating parts.
Never use the G2X in strong currents, heavy swells (max 0.3m height, occasional 0.5m waves), bad visibility, or with floating objects. Avoid environments with swimmers or divers. Do not store in direct sunlight or closed vehicles. The G2X is not a swimming aid.
Warnings:
