BUILD
Create
an
Automatic
Command
Input
File
build
file
file
is a file
specification
which cannot
include an
extension.
This
command lets
you create
an
automatic
command
input
file which can be
executed
via
the do
command.
The file
must
contain data
that would
normally
be
typed
in from
the
keyboard to
the trsdos
ready
mode.
build
files are
intended
for
passing
command lines
to trsdos
just as
if they'd
been
typed
in at
the
trsdos ready
level.
Note:
clear cannot
be used
in
a
do
file.
When you
enter the
build
command,
build
creates the
file and
immediately
prompts
you to
begin
inserting
lines.
Each time
you
complete a
line, press
(ENTER) .
(While typing
in a line,
you
can use the
usual
cursor
control keys for
erasures
and
corrections.)
To end
the
build
file,
simply press
(BREAK) at
the
beginning
of
a
line.
First
type:
BUILD
filename
You
will then be
prompted to type
in
the
command text.
You then type
in up to
63
characters,
then
press
(ENTER) . You
may
enter as
many lines as
necessary.
Press
(BREAK
)
to
quit and
return to
trsdos ready.

hypothetical
suiLD-file
that
initializes the
serial
interface
and the printer
driver:
SETCOH
(BAUD=1200»WAIT)
FORMS
(WIDTH=80)
PAUSE
