Manual Tu ning
Yo u ca n select a station even if yo u do not kn ow its frequency.
Se l ec t the desired band, then repeatedly press TUNIN G /\. or v
until you hear t he broadcast from the desired station.
Scan Tuning the FM/ MW /LW Ba nds
To tune up or down to the next active frequency in the selected
band, hold down TUNIN G /\. or v for at least 1 secon d. The receiv-
er scans up or do wn the se lected band and tun es to the first fre-
que n cy it fin ds with a st ro ng signal.
N ote : When scanning, the recei ve r only search es f or frequencies
with strong
signals. To search f or stations with weaker signals, re-
peatedly press TUNIN G /\. or v to tune to the station manua ll y.
List e ning to the SW Meter Band
1. To se lect a SW band, press SW/ METER so a SW frequency
appears.
2. Press
SW again. SW frequency disappears and m flashes.
3. Press the
des ired SW band button (11m-1 20 m). The selected
band appears and remains as long as there is tuning activi ty
within that band.
4. Press
FINE then TUNIN G /\. or v to fine tune to the desired
frequen
cy according to the SHORT WA VE METER BAND fre-
que n cy ranges listed on the fo lding stand. TUNING /\. or v
tun es in 1 kHz increments.
