To turn on the priority feature, press
PRIORITY during scanning. The scan¬
ner checks the priority channel every 2
seconds. It stays on the channel if
there is activity, and PRIORITY ap¬
pears.
To turn off the priority feature, press
PRIORITY, priority disappears
from the display.
If your scanner is scanning and
stops at the channel you want,
press MANUAL once.
If you repeatedly press MANUAL,
the scanner steps through the
channels. To change the step direc¬
tion, press either ^ or v before
you press MANUAL.
MANUALLY SELECTING
A CHANNEL
You can continuously monitor a specific
channel without scanning. This is useful
if you hear a broadcast on a channel
and do not want to miss any details
(even though there might be periods
of silence) or if you want to monitor a
locked-out channel.
Follow these steps to manually select
a channel.
1. Press MANUAL.
2. Use the number keys to enter the
channel number you want to hear,
then press MANUAL.
