Measurement Method
In R&S Test Receiver ESU, the method of measuring the probability of time p
meas
during which the disturbance envelope exceeds a specified level E
limit
is applied.
The measurement shall be carried out using the following procedure[
1
]:
1. Set the resolution bandwidth (RBW) and the video bandwidth (VBW) of the
spectrum analyzer according to CISPR 16-1-1 (for measurements above 1 GHz).
2. Find the frequencies at which high disturbances are observed. This can be
accomplished by using the maximum hold function during a specified amount of
time (e.g. 2 min) in the frequency span of interest. Peak detection shall be used
when applying this procedure.
3. Determine the frequencies for the APD measurement.
4. Set the center frequency of the measuring receiver to the frequency at which the
highest level is observed during the application of step 2) of this procedure.
