TABLE 1. Setting and Help Screen Terminology
Setting Help Screen Terminology
Boom Pressure Cal
Calibrates the boom pressure transducer (if present) to a known value. The system
will calibrate this automatically, but the value can be adjusted at any time.
Calibrate to a know pressure using a pressure gauge or turn the product pump off
and open the section valves to relieve boom pressure before resetting to zero.
Control Deadband
Allowable difference between the target and actual application rate. Rate
correction is not performed as long as the application rate is within the allowable
range.
Display Smoothing
Enable the Display Smoothing feature to display target rate as actual rate when
rate is within 10% of the target rate. Actual rate will be displayed if rate controller
does not reach control deadband within 10 seconds.
Enable Fence Rows
Enable Fence Rows if sprayer is equipped. On-screen soft switches or physical
switches can be assigned to control fence row valves. Restart the setup wizard to
modify this setting.
Enable Hawkeye
Nozzle Control
Enable Hawkeye Nozzle Control to activate nozzle control system. Disable to
utilize conventional liquid application. Hawkeye nozzle control valves will remain
closed during conventional application. Ensure nozzle bodies are adjusted based
on desired tips and control selection.
Enable Turn
Compensation
The turn compensation feature allows Hawkeye to automatically adjust the
application rate independently at each nozzle to achieve desired rate when
applying through curves and corners in the field.
Fill Flowmeter Cal
The fill flowmeter calibration value and units may be found on the tag attached to
the flowmeter installed in the tank fill system. Select the appropriate units for the
flowmeter calibration to ensure proper calibration of the tank fill system.
Fill Volume The metered volume of product pumped into the applicator tank.
High Inlet Vacuum
The maximum pump inlet vacuum has been exceeded. There may be a restriction
in the plumbing between the injection pump inlet and the direct injection
chemical supply tank.
Implement Switch
The implement switch senses the position of the toolbar and turns off application
when raised and enables application when lowered.
Individual Nozzle Enables individual nozzle on/off control if available. Unlock code required.
Left Nozzle Count
The rate controller will detect the number of nozzle control valves connected to
the left side automatically. If the value is incorrect, edit the value to the correct
number. Fence row valves should not be included.
Low Tank Limit
Enable the Low Tank feature and enter desired volume threshold at which an alert
will be displayed for low tank condition. Tank volume must be either manually set
upon refilling or tank fill flowmeter utilized to automatically monitor tank level.
