HAWKEYE™ NOZZLE CONTROL AND SIDEKICK PRO ICD SETUP
MINIMUM PRESSURE
The minimum pressure feature will allow the operator to set the lowest tolerable pressure during field operations.
If the application system reaches the minimum pressure, the VT will display an alert and the application system will
maintain the flow rate to keep the monitored pressure consistent and to maintain the spray pattern.
LOW TANK LIMIT
Enable the Low Tank Limit feature and enter the desired volume threshold at which a low tank condition alert will
display. Enter a value of 0 or uncheck the Enable box to disable the alarm. Manually set the tank volume upon
refilling or the tank fill flowmeter will monitor the tank level.
OFF RATE LIMIT
The off rate limit sets the allowable difference between the target and actual product application rates. Enable the
off rate feature and enter a non-zero value to set the allowable difference between target and actual rates during
field operations. If the difference between the actual and target rate exceeds the set percentage for more than five
seconds, the system will display an off rate alarm.
OFF TARGET PRESSURE PERCENT
The off target pressure percent sets the allowable difference between the target and actual pressures. Enable the
off pressure feature and enter a non-zero value to set the allowable difference between target and actual
pressures during field operations. If the difference between the actual and target pressure exceeds the set
percentage for more than five seconds, the system will display an off pressure alarm.
POP UP ALARMS
Pop Up Alarms are used to notify the user of system errors. Disable pop up alarms through the direct injection
system settings screen.
HIGH INLET VACUUM
The maximum pump inlet vacuum alarm alerts the user when the maximum allowable vacuum level (11.5 in/Hg or
29 cm/Hg) has been exceeded.
PUMP EFFICIENCY LIMIT
Enter the minimum allowable efficiency for the DI pump. Typical values range from 60-100%. An alarm will trigger
if the actual efficiency is below the limit for ten seconds. Higher efficiency values may cause the alarms to trigger
more often. Lower efficiency values may never trigger the alarm.
SYSTEM EFFICIENCY LIMIT
The system efficiency limit feature allows the user to monitor system performance. The system will display an
alarm in the actual efficiency exceeds the ideal efficiency by more than the set percentage. Typical efficiency may
range from 90% - 100% during normal operation. System efficiency readings higher than 100% indicate that the
system is delivering more flow than expected for a given NCV duty cycle. If the flowmeter and pressure transducer
are calibrated and operating correctly, and the tip size is selected properly, there may be a system leak after the
flowmeter or a malfunctioning NCV. System efficiency readings less than 100% indicate they system is delivering
less flow than expected for a given NCV duty cycle. There may be a restriction or flow delivery issue to the NCV’s.
