Feature Authorization
via the USB Port
This section contains information for authorizing or unlocking Phoenix 300 features such as GS, OmniSTAR, or
RTK corrections. Contact a local Raven dealer for more information and to begin the authorization process.
The following information will be required to generate an authorization code:
NovAtel PSN (example BFN12430034)
NovAtel Software Revision
Note: Refer to the Receiver Display Menu section on page 13 for assistance locating the information
indicated above on the Phoenix 300 receiver. Contact a local Raven dealer for information or to
obtain an authorization code for additional GPS features.
Preparation
1. Contact a local Raven dealer or the Raven technical support center to obtain the necessary authorization
codes or keys.
2. An authorization key will be generated for the receiver. When the authorization file is received, transfer the
file directly to the root directory of a USB flash drive (e.g. “F:\” where F is the drive letter assigned to the
flash drive).
