Injection Pump Flow Switch
Perform the following procedure to replace the flow monitor switch (P/N 063-0171-979).

1. Disconnect the switch cable from the motor control cabling.
2. Loosen the locking nut on the switch assembly and remove the old switch assembly from the pump head.
3. Loosen the switch bracket mounting screws enough to allow the bracket to slide freely on the pump head.
Flow Monitor Switch Adjustment Procedure
4. Set the hand valves for the system to recirculate product to the chemical tank and prime and calibrate the
pump.
5. Run the injection pump at the lowest injection rate within tolerance for the pump (i.e. 1 oz./min. for 1-40 oz./
min. pumps or 5 oz. for 5-200 oz./min. pumps).
6. Thread the new flow monitor switch into the pump head until the switch body contacts the pump head.
7. Push the switch bracket to the left or right so that the switch body is as far from the center of the pump as
possible.
8. Tighten the bracket mounting screws to set the switch bracket position.
9. Tighten the switch assembly a partial turn until the line on the flow monitor switch is near vertical. Do not
overtighten.

The LED indicator should be flashing while the pump is running. If the indicator light is not flashing, turn the
switch body slightly until the LED flashes.
Note: The line on the switch body should not be more than 45° off of vertical to ensure maximum
sensitivity.
Once the switch assembly is properly set and the LED indicator is flashing, tighten the lock nut on the switch
assembly to secure the switch body to the bracket.
