Track Adjustment - Check
Checking Tension
• Park machine on level solid ground and lift machine
up off of the ground so that the machine weight is not
resting on the tracks.
• Measure the distance from the center roller to the track.
the distance should be between 1/4’’ and 3/8’’
If the measurement result shows a dimension greater or
less than the specified range listed above adjust the rubber
crawer tension. NOTE: Check chain tension after the first
10 hours of operation and every 50 hours of operation.
Adjusting Tension
1. Loosen the locking nuts (1) on the thread tensioner
2. Adjust the all-thread tensioner accordingly
a) If the tension is too loose (the distance is greater than
3/8”) tighten the tensioner to push the the end of the
frame out.
b) If the tension is too tight (the distance is less than
1/4”) loosen the tensioner until the mesurement falls
into the specified mesurement (1/4”-3/8”)
4. Retighten the locking nuts on the tensioner, and lower
machine.
Track drive oil - Check
To check the track drive oil the drive unit must be on flat, level
ground and the drive placed in accordance to the below
figure and plug (2) removed. If oil seeps out of the hole, the
unit is full. When the oil level is below the hole, fill the unit
according to the instructions in the “Track Drive Oil - Replace”
section which follows.
Track drive oil - Replace
To drain the oil in the track drive, position the unit as in above
figure. The oil drain plug (3) must be positioned straight down
with the oil fill plug used as a vent (3). Set a container under
the draining plug. Draining the oil should always be done when
the oil is hot, this will aid in the draining and help prevent
sludge. When the drive is empty, replace the drain plug (3).
Fill until oil reaches and starts to leak out of level plug (2).
Ensure both the level & drain plugs are tightened.. Use fluid
as noted in the “Fluid Specifications Section” of this manual.

RUBBER TRACKS ARE GREATLY AFFECTED BY
TEMPERATURE.
AS THE TEMPERATURE DECREASES THE
TRACK TENSION WILL INCREASE AND
SERIOUS DAMAGE MAY RESULT, CHECK
TRACK TENSION OFTEN.
