Ifapersonorobjectfallsoverboard,youcanusetheManOverboard(MOB)featuretomarkthe
positionthatyourvesselwasatwhentheMOBalarmwasactivated.
TheMOBfeaturecanbeactivatedbypressingandholdingontheMOBicon:
onthe
Homescreenorthewaypoint/MOBicon:
foundatthetopofallapps.
TheMOBfeaturerequiresyourvesseltohaveavalidpositionfixfromaGNSSreceiver .Dead
reckoningmodealsorequiresHeadingandSpeeddata.
WhenyouactivatetheMOBalarm:
•anaudiblealarmissoundedwhichisrepeatedevery30secondsuntilthealarmiscancelled.
•aMOBDatabarprovidingBearingandrangefromMOB,andelapsedtimesinceMOBwasinitiated,
isplacedalongthetopofthescreen.TheDatabarpersistsacrossappsandtheHomescreen,
andremainsuntiltheMOBalarmiscancelled.
•aMOBwarningisdisplayedinthebottomofthescreenwhichrequiresacknowledgement.
•theChartappisplacedinaspecialMOBmodetohelpyounavigatebacktothepointyourvessel
wasatwhentheMOBwasinitiated.
MOBmode
MOBcanbesettoDeadReckoningorPositionmode.DeadReckoningmodewilltakeinto
considerationtheeffectsofwindandtides.Thisusuallyprovidesamoreaccuratecourse.Position
