Thereare3availablefrequencysettings:
50kHzproducesawidesonarbeamandpenetratesthewater
well.Itprovidesalowerresolutionimagethatmaynotbeasgood
atdetectingsmallsh.Typicallyusethisifyourequirealarge
coveragebeneathyourboatorifyouareindeepwater.
200kHzproducesnarrowbeamofquickershortersonarwaves.
Theseproduceahighresolutionimagebutdonotpenetratethe
wateraswellasthelowerfrequency.Thisfrequencyismost
usefulinshallowerwater(upto1000ft).
Auto.WhenoperatinginautomaticfrequencyyourDSM
automaticallyselectstheappropriatefrequencyforyourdepth,
50kHzindeepwaterand200kHzinshallowerwater.
