8.1UsingManOverboard(MOB)
functions
Manoverboard
Ifyouloseapersonorobjectoverboard,youcanusetheMan
Overboard(MOB)functiontomarktheposition.
TheMOBfunctionisavailableatalltimes,regardlessofwhich
applicationisrunning.
WhenMOBisactivated,analertmessageappearson-screen,and
anemergencywaypointiscreated.Abearingtothewaypointis
alsoprovided.Thealertandemergencywaypointalsoappearon
anynetworkeddisplaysatthesametime.
Activatingthemanoverboardfunction
1.PressandholdtheWPTS/MOBbuttonfor3seconds.
Thenormalchartapplicationisresettothesamesettingsthat
ithadbeforetheMOBalarmwasraised.
Note:ToobtainaMOBposition,yourmultifunctiondisplaymust
haveaGPSpositionx.
CancellingaMOBalarm
1.PressandholdtheWPTS/MOBbuttonforfourseconds.
OncetheMOBalarmiscleared:
thechartapplicationmotionmodeisreset.
thedatabarmodeisreset.
GOTOandroutefunctionsarerestored.
MOBchartapplication
IfaMOBisraisedwhilethechartapplicationorthehomescreen
isdisplayed,aspecialMOBchartapplicationisstartedtohelpyou
locatethesourceofthedistresssignal.
ThespecialMOBchartapplicationisdisplayedonyourmultifunction
displayandanyothernetworkedmultifunctiondisplay(s).The
specialMOBchartapplicationhasthefollowingfeaturesand
settings:
AMOBsymbolisplacedatthepositionofthevesselwhenthe
MOBbuttonwaspressed.
ThechartissettoAutoRangeMotionMode,andthechartscale
issettothelowestsettingthatmaintainsthevesselandMOB
waypointon-screenatthesametime.
IfthevesselmovesawayfromtheMOBposition,thesystem
drawsadottedlinejoiningtheMOBpositionwiththevessel
position.
GOTOandRoutefunctionsaredisabled.
