1.Selectadistresstypefromthelist.
•IfyourradioisreceivingavalidGNSS(GPS)
positionthenthedistresstypeandcoordinates
aredisplayedon-screen,otherwiseyouwillbe
promptedtoenteryourpositioncoordinates.
2.Ifprompted,enteryourpositioncoordinatesand
localtimeusingthe
Rotaryknobor ChannelUp
andChannelDownbuttonsonaR aymichandsetto
entertherelevantdetails.
3.Whencompletepressthe OKbutton.
4.Followthestepsfor ‘MakingaDistressCall’ to
transmitthedistress.
Makingadistresscall
Inanemergencyyoucanuseyourunittomakean
automaticDSCdistresscall.
Withthespringloadedcoveropen:
1.Pressandholdthe DIS
TRESSbuttonfor3seconds.
Oncethe DISTRESSbuttonispresseda3second
countdownwillbegin,whenthecountdownreaches
zerotheDSCdistresscallistransmitted.
Thedistresscallisrepeatedautomaticallyuntilitis
acknowledged.
2.Pressandholdthe PTTbutton,thenslowlyand
clearlyspeakthedetailsofthedistressinthe
followingformat:
