3.Carefullyinsertthepointedendofthesuppliedtoolintothesplit-ring’ sgap(labelled‘C’inthe
illustration).
Thetoolwidensthegapinthesplitring,enablingthesplitringtobepushedfurtherbackonto
theconnectorinthefollowingstep.
Important:
•Alwaysusethesuppliedtoolwhenattachingthesplitring.Thesplitringmaybecome
overstretchedandbreakifyoutrytoattachitwithoutusingthetool.
•Asparesplitringissuppliedwiththelockingcollarassembly ,incaseofbreakage.
4.Usethetooltogentlyleverthesplitringoverthemouldingontheconnectoruntilitsnapsinto
positionappro ximately0.5cmfurtherbacktowardsthecable-endoftheconnector.
