Hexwrench(Allenkey).
7.5Mountingthegateway
Procedureformountingthegateway.Alternatively,thegatewaycanbe
securedinasuitablelocationusingcableties.
Pre-requisites:
•Ensureyouhavefollowedthelocationrequirementsguidancewhen
choosingyourmountinglocation.
•Whenmountingthegateway,itshouldbemountedverticallyonaflat
surface.
•Ensurethattheprovidedfixingsaresuitableforthemountingsurface
materialandthickness.
1.Unscrewthecover’sretainingscrewfromthefrontofthegateway.
Thescrewiscaptive,soitcannotberemovedcompletely.
2.Useeitherthegatewayasaguideorusethesuppliedmountingtemplate
tomarktheholelocationsonthemountingsurface.
3.Drill2pilotholesatthemarkedlocations.
Important:
Thepilotholesizemustbesuitableforthematerialtypeandthicknessof
themountingsurface.
4.Securethegatewaytothemountingsurfaceusingthefixings.
5.Thesuppliedringcrimpterminalandasuitablecable(notsupplied)
shouldbeusedtocreateagroundconnection.Theringcrimpterminal
shouldthenbeconnectedtothetopfixingholesothatitissecuredwhen
tighteningthefixings.Connecttheotherendofthecabletothevessel’s
RFgroundpoint.IfnoRFgroundisavailable,connectdirectlytothe
vessel’snegative(–)batteryterminal.
