Before using this electrical appliance, the following basic precautions should always be followed:
A WARNING! HYDROGEN GASISEXPLOSIVE
Under certain conditions, hvdrogen gas mav be produced in a hot-water system that has not been
used for two weeks or more. HYDROGENGASISEXPLOSIVE.If the hot-water system has not been
used in vour home for such a period, before using the dishwasher,turn on all other hot water
faucets and let water flow from each for several minutes. This will release anv accumulated
hydrogen gas.Asthe gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame during this time.
A WARNING! PROPER USE
1.Do not abuse, sit on,or stand on the door or dish basket of the dishwasher.
2.DOnot touch the heating element during or immediately after use.
3. Do not operate your dishwasher unless all enclosure panels are properly in place. Openthe
door vervcarefullyif the dishwasherisoperating.Thereis a risk of water squirting out.
4. DOnot place anv heavy objects or stand on the door when it is open.The appliance could tip
forward.
5.When loading items to be washed:
e Locate sharp items so that thev are not likely to damage the door seal;
e Loadsharp knives with the handles up to reduce the risk of cut-type injuries;
Knivesand other utensils with sharp points must be loaded in the basket with their points
down or placed in a horizontal position.
6.When using your dishwasher, vou should prevent plastic items from contacting the heating
element.
7.Checkthat the detergent receptacle is empty after completion of the wash cycle.
8. Do not wash plastic items unless thev are marked dishwasher safe or the equivalent. For plastic
items not so marked, check the manufacturer s recommendations.
9. Useonly detergent and rinse additives designed for an automatic dishwasher. Never use soap,
laundry detergent, or handwashing detergent in vour dishwasher.
10.Other means for disconnection from the supply must be incorporated in the fixed wiring with
at least 3mm contact separation in all poles.
11. I(eepchildrenawayfrom detergent and rinseaid,keepchildrenawayfrom the opendoor of
the dishwasher as there could still be some detergent left inside.
12.young children should be supervised to ensure that thev do not Plavwith the appliance.
