Roof
rack
Whether
you
are
loading
or
unloading
objects
from
the
roof
rack,
you
must
never climb
onto
the
roof
to
reach
objects.
Some
vehicles
cannot
be
fitted
with
a
roof
rack,
refer
to
the
table
of
weights
in
Section
6.
Rear
cell
or
cab
floor
Always
position
the
heaviest
items
directly
on
the
floor.
Use
the
lashing
points
on
the
luggage
compartment
floor,
if
these
are
fitted
to
the
vehicle.
The
luggage
should
be
loaded
in
such
a
way
that
no
items
will
be
thrown
forward
and
strike
the
occupants
if
the
driver
has
to
brake
suddenly.
Fasten
the
rear
seat
belts,
even
if
the seats
are
not
occupied.

Fitting
the
towing
ball
hitch
It
is
essential
to
use
the
three
lower
holes.
Tighten
studs
1,
observing
a
tightening
torque
of
19.5
daNm
(decaNewtonsmetres).
In
all
cases,
take
care
to
follow
local
laws
(e.g.,
remove
the
towing
ball
when
not
towing,
etc.).
