10.4 Transportation and Storage
CAUTION
Damage or injuries and loss warranty due to
improper handling! Heavy!
⇒ Protect the products from dampness and corrosion
⇒ Avoid mechanical stressing, throwing, tipping or
dropping of the products.
⇒ Use only suitable lifting equipment on the transport
eyes of the motor.
⇒ Never lift the motor by the fan housing.
⇒ Use suitable protective equipment and protective
clothing during transport.
Note:
• The permissible transport temperature range is –20°C to
+80°C.
• The permissible storage temperature range is 0°C to
+45°C.
• After storage of one to five years, the motor must warm up
for one hour at 1,000 rpm before start-up.
• The max. permitted storage duration of the motors is 5
years. After the max. storage duration is exceeded, the
bearing grease must be replaced.
Also observe the notes regarding storage and transport on the packages
According to EN60721-3-2 (1997) class 2M2, the IndraDyn A motors
should not exceed the following load limit during transport and storage.

When delivered, IndraDyn A motors are equipped with protective sleeves
and covers. During transport and storage, the protective sleeves must
remain on the motor.
⇒ Remove the protective sleeves just before assembly.
⇒ Also use the protective sleeves if you return the goods.
