The factory setting for this switch should all be in the
OFF position (DOWN).
Change the first switch on “DIP 2” to the ON position
(UP). Performance mode is selected.
To select Energy Saver mode, change the fourth switch on “DIP 1” to
the ON position (UP)
Replace the front cover panel.
Turn on all electric power to the water heater.
Turn On the remote control. The pump and water heater
will turn on to raise recirculation loop temperature.
Recirculation Operation
The water heater is turned ON when the
recirculation pump starts operation. The water heater
produces hot water at the setting temperature. When
the return water temperature reaches approximately
15°F below the setting temperature, the water heater
and the pump will turn OFF. The cycle will restart
at the approximate time interval in the table below
based on the temperature thermistor readings.
Energy Saver Mode
The Energy Saver mode operates as follows:
• Less energy consumption due to fewer pump cycles
• Pump cycles ON every 30 to 69 minutes
Performance Mode
The Performance mode operates as follows:
• Higher energy consumption due to more pump
cycles
• Pump cycles ON every 15 to 35 minutes
