General threading steps starting with the left looper.

Threading the Right Looper

Step-by-step guide for threading the right looper after the left looper.

Threading the Needle

Step-by-step guide for threading the needle after loopers.

Sewing Test and Thread Tension

Performing the Test Sewing

Insert test material, hold threads, turn pulley, check interlocking, and sew slowly.

Correct Thread Tension Guide

Proper stitch formation is shown. Tension varies by cloth and thread type.

Adjusting Incorrect Thread Tension

Adjust tension using dials. Describes scenarios of loose/tight needle or looper threads.

Sewing Techniques and Presser Foot

Removing the Sewn Article

Sew off about 5cm thread chain, cut near fabric, leaving 3cm chain.

Securing the Seam End

Tie thread chain end. For knits, use latch needle to pull thread into seam.

Preventing Seam Unravelling

Sew off 5cm chain, turn fabric, sew back along seam to prevent unravelling.

Presser Foot Pressure Adjustment

Adjust pressure for fabric weight. Push center to increase, outer rim to decrease.

Seam Width Adjustment

Adjusting Knife Carriers for Seam Width

Adjust upper and lower knife carriers to change seam width.

Narrow Seam Adjustment (1.5mm)

Narrow seams can be sewn by changing the needle plate.

Stitch Length Adjustment

Loosening Feed Regulator Nut

Hold pulley, loosen feed regulator nut with screwdriver to allow adjustment.

Setting Stitch Length

Align regulator nut with number. Higher number for longer stitch, smaller for shorter.

Finalizing Stitch Length Adjustment

Tighten feed regulator nut and close side box after making adjustments.

Needle and Knife Replacement

Removing the Needle

Turn pulley clockwise, loosen needle clamp screw, pull needle out with tweezers.

Fitting a New Needle

Push needle fully into holder, ensure long groove faces forward, tighten screw.

Replacing the Upper Knife

Loosen upper knife guide screw and remove knife upward.

Replacing the Lower Knife

Loosen lower knife clamp screw and remove knife downward.

Troubleshooting Poor Sewing

Cloth Feed Issues

Cause: Presser foot pressure too weak. Adjustment: Increase pressure.

Needle Breakage

Cause: Bent/damaged needle, incorrect fitting. Adjustment: Replace/refit needle.

Thread Breakage

Cause: Incorrect threading, tangled thread, tight tension. Adjustment: Re-thread, check thread.

Skip Stitching

Cause: Bent/damaged needle, incorrect fitting, threading. Adjustment: Replace/refit needle, re-thread.

Poor Seam Formation

Cause: Incorrect thread tension. Adjustment: Adjust thread tension.

Fabric Puckering

Cause: Strong thread tension, incorrect threading. Adjustment: Reduce tension, re-thread.

Fold-over Hemming Technique

Exchanging Needle Plate for Hemming

Procedure for changing the needle plate to perform fold-over hemming.

Setting Feed Regulator for Hemming

Adjust the feed regulator nut to setting No.1 for fold-over hemming.
