Dial Failed The fax could not be sent. • Confirm that the fax number you
dialed is correct.
• Confirm that the destination is a fax
machine.
• Confirm that the line is not busy.
• You may need to insert a pause
between dial digits. Press [Redial]
after, for example, the area code.
• Check that [PSTN / PBX] in
[Administrator Tools] has been
specified in accordance with the
telephone line in use. See page 241

Exceeded MaxE-mail
Size
The scan file exceeds the size
limit for files that can be sent
through e-mail.
• Configure [Resolution] under
[Scanner Features] to reduce the
scanning resolution. See page 214
"Scanner Features Settings".
• Configure [Maximum Email Size]
under [Scanner Features] to increase
the allowed size. See page 214
"Scanner Features Settings".
I-Fax POP3 Failed Connection to the POP3 server
failed.
• Confirm that the network cable is
properly connected to the machine.
• Confirm that the network settings such
as IP address, DNS, and POP3
settings have been configured
properly (make sure that no
doublebyte character is used). See
page 280 "Configuring the Network
Settings".
Indep.Sply.Prt.Cart. A non-supported print cartridge
is installed.
Remove and replace it with a print
cartridge specified by an authorized
dealer.
Internal Misfeed Paper has been jammed in the
machine.
Remove the jammed paper. See
