4.4.7 COVER OPEN 2
Description: “Cover Open” message does not appear on the LCD when the front
cover is open.
Cause Solution
1. “Open Cover” microswitch is stuck or
damaged.
2. Faulty connection between the switch and
the main PBA.
1. Perform the cover sensor test in Tech
Mode to check cover switch operation.
Replace the switch if necessary.
2. Replace the main control board or cover
open switch if necessary.
4.4.8 DEFECTIVE MOTOR OPERATION
Description: Main motor does not operate and paper is not fed into the machine.
In this condition, Jam 0 appears.
Cause Solution
Main motor harness or motor PCB are faulty. Check the motor harness and connectors.
Replace if necessary. Replace the main PBA
if the problem stays.
• Use EDC mode to check motor operation.
4.4.9 NO POWER
Description: LCD panel does not come on when the machine power is turned on.
Cause Solution
1. Power input and SMPS output are
abnormal.
2. Normal start-up sounds are heard but the
LCD does not come on.
3. LCD does not come on and no sounds
are heard after the SMPS is replaced.
1. Replace the power supply cord or SMPS.
Replace fuses if necessary.
2. Replace the operation panel.
3. Replace the main PBA.
