PAPER JAM CONDITIONS

4.2.1 CLEARING DOCUMENT JAMS (ADF)
“DOCUMENT JAM” appears on the operation panel if a document jams when fed
through the ADF.
ADF Input Misfeed
Perform the following to remove a jam of this type:
1. Open the top cover [A].
2. Pull the document gently to the right and out of the ADF.
3. Close the top cover and load the documents to the ADF again.
NOTE:
To prevent document jams, use the platen glass instead of the ADF for the
thick, thin, or mixed documents.
