7. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select the authentication method, and then press the [Next]
key.
Select the same method that the router or access point is using.
8. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select the encryption method, and then press the [Next] key.
Select the same method that the router or access point is using.
9. Enter the encryption key and ID using the number keys, and then press the [Connect] key.
The ID is used for identifying the encryption key. You can register four encryption keys (ID 1 to
4).
10. Press [Yes] key.
Wait for a while. If "Connected" appears, the setting is completed.
Ad Hoc mode
This section explains the procedure for connecting directly to devices equipped with a wireless LAN,
such as a notebook computer (peer-to-peer).
In Ad Hoc network, every device must be manually assigned an IP address for TCP/IP if there is no
DHCP server.
In Ad Hoc mode, only Open System or WEP encryption is supported. WPA2-PSK authentication is
not supported.
1. Press the [User Tools] key.
2. Press the [
] or [ ] key to select [Network Settings], and then press the [OK] key.
If you are requested to enter a password, enter the password using the number keys, and then
press the [OK] key.
3. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select [Wi-Fi], and then press the [OK] key.
4. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select [Setup Wizard], and then press the [OK] key.
5. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select [Ad-Hoc], and then press the [Next] key.
6. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select a communication channel, and then press the [Next] key.
Select a channel that corresponds to the device that you are going to connect with.
7. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select the destination device name (IBSS), and then press the
[Next] key.
If you cannot find the destination, check that the device is turned on.
When entering the device name, select [SSID], and then press the [Next] key. The SSID entry
screen appears. Enter the device name using the number keys, and then press the [Next] key.
