Shooting
77
Pixel Shift Resolution is the feature that enables outputting a
high-definition image of stationary objects by merging four
images.
Set in [Pixel Shift Resolution] of the
A3 menu.
When shooting is performed, captured four images are
displayed in turn, and then they are merged into a single image.
u Caution
This function cannot be used in the following situations.
•In M or N mode
•In C mode
This function cannot be used in combination with some other
functions. (p.108)
While this function is used, [AA Filter Simulator] of the A4
menu is fixed to [Off].
[LV Electronic Shutter] of the A2 menu and [Shake
Reduction] of the A4 menu are fixed to [On] or [Off]
depending on the [Pixel Shift Resolution] setting as shown
below. When the [Pixel Shift Resolution] setting is changed to
[Off], [LV Electronic Shutter] and [Shake Reduction] return to
original settings.
When [Motion Correction On] or [Motion Correction Off] is
selected, mount the camera on a support such as a tripod
securely before shooting.
When [Image Stabilization On] is selected, perform shooting
without changing the composition until four images are
captured, not using a support such as a tripod.
t Memo
When [Pixel Shift Resolution] is assigned to X or Y, you
can change the [Pixel Shift Resolution] setting by a simple
button operation. (p.97)
If a moving object exists in the frame, mosaic-pattern noise
may appear in the image. In such case, select [Motion
Correction On].
The use of Pixel Shift Resolution in combination with Self-
timer, Remote Control, or Mirror Lock-up Shooting is
recommended.
Using [Motion Correction On] or [Motion Correction Off] with
the camera set on a fixed support such as a tripod provides
higher-definition images than using [Image Stabilization On].
