If the Decurl Unit is Used
Follow this procedure to correct paper curl with the decurl unit.
1. Using Thick Paper?
Yes
In the [Adjustment Settings for Skilled Operators] menu, set 0310: [Adjust Paper Curl] to
[Adjust Curl: Weak].
Go to next step.
No
Go to next Step 7.
2. Print the image. Problem solved??
Yes
Finished.
No
Go to next step.
3. Set 0310: [Adjust Paper Curl] to [Adjust Curl: Strong].

5. Convex curl is within specification?
Yes
The problem cannot be solved in the field.
No
Go to next step.
6. Turn the stack upside down, and go to Step 3 again. If the amount of curl exceeds specification, do
SP1984-101 to 131 to lower fusing temperature by 5°C to 10°C to reduce the amount of curl. You
can also use the Custom Paper Settings > 44: [Fusing Heat Roller Temperature Adj.] to adjust the
fusing temperature.
7. Convex curl with Plain Paper?
Yes
In the Adjustment Settings for Skilled Operators menu, set 0310: [Adjust Paper Curl] to
[Adjust Curl: Weak].

8. Print the image. Problem solved??
