1. Reattach the bypass tray.
2. Reconnect the following connector(s).

3. Replace the following harness(es).

4. Replace the following parts.
Upper Limit Sensor
Pickup Solenoid
5. Replace the Main Control Board of the bypass tray.
6. Replace the harness between LCIT and bypass tray.
7. Replace the Main Control Board of the LCIT.
Error Name/Error Condition/Major Cause/Solution
Bypass Tray Error (Lifting Timeout)
During tray initialization, the bottom plate was lifted but the Upper Limit Sensor
does not become ON within 10 seconds.
Lift Motor defective or disconnected
Upper Limit Sensor defective/disconnected
A harness to one of the parts listed above is broken.
PCB defective
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
To check for any abnormalities in the sensor and motor solenoid, be sure to
perform an input check and output check for them as needed in addition to a
visual check.
1. Load paper on the bypass tray again.
2. Reattach the bypass tray.
3. Reattach the bypass tray.
4. Reconnect the following connector(s).

Lift Motor
Harness between LCIT and bypass tray
