7. Check the interference of the paper remaining detection feeler on the tray
bottom plate and the Upper Limit Sensor.
8. Replace the Main Control Board of the bypass tray.
9. Replace the harness between LCIT and bypass tray.
10. Replace the Main Control Board of the LCIT.
Error Name/Error Condition/Major Cause/Solution
Bypass Tray Error (Lowering Timeout)
At Paper End, or when the Lift Switch was pressed with the bottom plate at the
upper limit position, the bottom plate was lowered but the Lower Limit Sensor does
not become ON within 10 seconds.
Lift Motor defective or disconnected
Lower Limit Sensor defective/disconnected
A harness to one of the parts listed above is broken.
PCB defective
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
To check for any abnormalities in the sensor and motor solenoid, be sure to
perform an input check and output check for them as needed in addition to a visual
check.
1. Reattach the bypass tray.
2. Reconnect the following connector(s).

3. Replace the following parts.
Lift Motor
