Important
Although the Color Paper Edge Detection Adjustment allows the CIS luminance level to range
between 1 and 5, setting this value to a high level could cause the LED to reach its life quickly.
Therefore, it is recommended that the CIS luminance is set to approximately 3.5.
Also, if jobs applying colored paper are to be run regularly, the CIS luminance level should be
adjusted for each occasion.
NOTE
The purpose of the procedure to
decrease the CIS luminance by 0.5
until J098 reoccurs is to set the CIS
luminance level as low as possible
(to allow longer LED life).
Change the CIS luminance from 1.6 to 3.0 in
the Color Paper Edge Detection Adjustment,
and then print another 50 pages in simplex.
Increase the CIS luminance to 5.0 in the
Color Paper Edge Detection Adjustment, and
then print another 50 pages in simplex.
