Software and Utilities Included on the CD-
ROM
The following software and utility are included in the CD-ROMs that come with
this printer.
❖ Smart Organizing Monitor
Allows users and system administrators to check and configure the printer
from a client computer.
Viewing the contents of the CD-ROM
Follow the procedure below to view the contents of the CD-ROM.
A Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
The installer starts.
B Click [Browse This CD-ROM].
Explorer starts and displays the contents of the CD-ROM.
Printer Drivers for this Printer
Printing requires installing a printer driver appropriate to your operating system.
The following driver is included on the CD-ROM provided with this printer.
❖ PCL 6 printer driver
This printer driver allows the computer to communicate with the printer via
a printer language.
The following operating system is supported.
• Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Windows Server 2003/2003 R2/2008
❖ PostScript 3 Printer Drivers and PPD files
PostScript 3 printer driver and the PPD files are included on the CD-ROM
provided with this printer. PostScript 3 printer driver allow the computer to
communicate with the printer using a printer language. PPD files allow the
printer driver to enable specific printer functions.
The following operating system is supported.
• Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Windows Server 2003/2003 R2/2008, and Mac
OS X 10.2.8 (or later)
