Function Description:

The Ricokids RK-240 is a portable travel cot intended for children who cannot get out of it by themselves. It serves as a safe sleeping and play area for infants and toddlers. The cot is ready for use when all locking mechanisms are securely engaged. It can be easily folded and unfolded for transport and storage.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Dimensions: 125 x 65 x 78 cm (length x width x height).
  • Weight Limit: Suitable for children weighing up to 15 kg.
  • Height Limit: Suitable for children shorter than 86 cm.
  • Capacity: Designed for use by only one child at a time.
  • Mattress: Only the mattress supplied by the manufacturer should be used. There should be no gap greater than 3 cm between the mattress and any side of the cot when pressed firmly.
  • Safety Standards: Complies with EN 716-1:2017+AC:2019 and EN 716-2:2017.

Usage Features:

Assembly (Opening):

  1. Unpack: Open the carrying bag, release the Velcro fasteners, and separate the mattress from the frame.
  2. Position Legs: Place the cot's legs on a level surface.
  3. Unfold Sides: Pull the sides of the cot apart to open it properly.
  4. Lock Brace: Pull the central brace upwards until it clicks into place, indicating it's locked.
  5. Secure Mattress Support: Press down on the mattress support until it snaps into place.
  6. Place Mattress: Lay the mattress in the cot with the soft side facing up.
  7. Fasten Mattress: Thread the Velcro fasteners (A) of the mattress through the openings (B) in the cot and secure them.
  8. Ready for Use: The cot is now assembled and ready for use.

Folding:

  1. Remove Mattress: Release the Velcro fasteners on the mattress and remove it from the cot.
  2. Release Lock: Pull the handle in the center of the cot upwards to release the locking mechanism. Then, lift the base approximately 25 cm.
  3. Release Frame Locks: Press the buttons on the middle of the frame to release the side locks.
  4. Fold Frame: Fold the frame inwards.
  5. Wrap Mattress: Lay the mattress on the floor with the soft side up. Place the folded cot on it and wrap it with the mattress.
  6. Store: Place the wrapped cot into the carrying bag and close the zipper.

Important Safety Warnings:

  • Never leave a child unattended in the cot.
  • Do not use the cot if the child can climb out, is taller than 86 cm, or weighs more than 15 kg.
  • The cot is for children who cannot get out by themselves.
  • Only one child should use the cot at a time.
  • Do not use more than one mattress.
  • Water mattresses are not allowed.
  • Only use the manufacturer-supplied mattress to prevent suffocation.
  • Ensure all locking mechanisms are fully engaged before each use.
  • All fasteners must be properly tightened and regularly checked for loosening. Loose screws or parts can snag clothing or body parts, posing a risk.
  • Assembly must be performed by an adult.
  • Do not fold or unfold the cot with a child inside.
  • Keep children away during assembly and disassembly.
  • Do not lift the cot with a child inside.
  • Use only accessories provided or recommended by the manufacturer.
  • If using the cot in the lowest position, remove any optional support rails.
  • Do not place the cot near open flames or heat sources (e.g., heaters, ovens).
  • Keep the cot away from objects a child could cling to (e.g., curtains, blinds, cords) to prevent suffocation.
  • Do not use the cot if any part is damaged, torn, or missing. Use only manufacturer-approved replacement parts.
  • Set up the cot on a flat and level surface.
  • Children should not play near the cot.
  • When leaving the child in the cot, ensure wheels (if applicable) are locked and feet are in place.
  • The lowest mattress position is the safest. Use this position once the child can sit up unaided.
  • If the cot has an opening side, ensure it is zipped closed when the child is unattended.
  • Do not leave anything in the cot or place it near objects that could aid climbing out or pose a suffocation/choking hazard (e.g., straps, blinds, cords, toys).
  • Do not hang anything on the cot.
  • Before use, ensure the top and bottom of the frame are fully locked.
  • Do not allow the child to climb into or out of the cot. Discontinue use if the child can climb out independently.
  • If used as a playpen, never leave the child unattended and always use the base.
  • Check the cot's integrity if it is difficult to open or fold.
  • Dispose of plastic packaging immediately after unpacking, as it can be dangerous for children.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning and Care:

  • Fabric Cleaning: Instructions for cleaning the fabric parts are found on the mattress label.
  • Cot Frame: Clean the cot frame manually with a mild detergent and warm water.
  • Prohibited Cleaners: Never use abrasive/corrosive cleaning agents, ammonia-based bleaches, or alcohol.
  • Drying: Ensure the product is completely dry before use or storage.

Optional Accessories Cleaning:
