USING YOUR RADIO’S
BLUETOOTH
®

There are two different methods of
using BLUETOOTH
®
with your radio,
and you can use either method inde-
pendently or both together. The first
method allows your device to stream
audio to the radio. The second method
allows your BLUETOOTH
®
enabled
device to control the radio using the
RIDGID Radio app. To be able to do
both of these things, you must make
both BLUETOOTH
®
connections.
Connection 1 for streaming audio:
Make sure BLUETOOTH
®
is turned
ON (

) on your BLUETOOTH
®
enabled device.
Connect to the device called
“STRM–RIDGID Jobsite Radio” (

).
Once connected, you may now
stream audio to the radio.
Connection 2 for controlling radio:
NOTE: It is not necessary to discon-
nect from the “STRM–RIDGID Jobsite
Radio” device to make this second
connection.
Using the app store application on
your device, download the RIDGID
Radio app.
Open the RIDGID Radio app.
Press the on/off/volume knob on
the radio to turn it on. The app
should automatically connect to the
radio.
NOTE: This connection is called
“CTRL–RIDGID Jobsite Radio” (

in your device’s BLUETOOTH
®
settings.
If the connection is successful, the
icons shown in figure 4 (

) will
appear on both the radio and the
app screens.
NOTE: If the connection is unsuc-
cessful, refer to the Troubleshoot-
ing section that follows.
You may now use the app to control
the radio functions as described in
the operator’s manual.
TROUBLESHOOTING
See Figure 1.
Make sure no other BLUETOOTH
®
streaming devices are connected to
the radio. Only one streaming device
can be active at a time.
Hold the button on the radio for 3
seconds to unpair all BLUETOOTH
®
signals, then start over with the
Connection 1 instructions.
If pairing still doesn’t work, turn
off the radio for 2 minutes, then
start over with the Connection 1
instructions.
