8.2 Communicating with other devices
Using Bluetooth wireless technology, your pump can exchange
data and even commands with other Accu-Chek devices such as
a blood glucose meter or a personal computer using Accu-Chek
software. For a list of Accu-Chek devices that can communicate
with your pump, contact your local pump support (see inside
back cover) or see www.accu-chek.com.
Before your pump can communicate with another device it must
be paired. That means the devices must be enabled to recognise
each other with an individual code. When the pump is paired with
another device they can exchange data using a stable and secure
Bluetooth connection.
Your pump can be paired with up to 5 other devices in total. If
you want to pair another device when 5 devices are already
paired with your pump, you have to delete the pairing of one of
the paired devices first.
In this chapter you will learn how to:
j Switch Bluetooth on and o
j Make your pump visible to other devices
j View the list of paired devices (Device list)
j Pair your pump with another device
j Remove a device from the list of paired devices (delete the
pairing)
Note
Communication with another device is only possible when
the display of the pump is o, the devices are paired and
both devices have Bluetooth switched on.
