3.4.1 Start sample processing
After the login, the 'Routine ▶ Control' menu always appears. This is where the current
system status is displayed.

chapter 2 'System description' in section 2.6.5.
1. Press the [Run] button to start the sample processing after all preparations have been
made.
NOTICE
Close all protective doors before starting the system.
3.4.2 Interrupt sample processing
There are two methods of interrupting routine operations:
3.4.2.1 Standby
The [Standby] button is always highlighted active during a work cycle. To allow the current
work step to be completed and then halt the system, press the [Standby] button.
To subsequently continue with the work cycle, press the [Run] button.
Sample processing can be interrupted if you need to reach into the system.
1. In the menu 'Routine ▶ Control', press the [Standby] button.
2. Wait until the current work step is finished and the sorting unit comes to a standstill at its
reference point at the right and rear of the sorting area.
No functions involving movement are performed when the module is in the standby mode.
The individual motors and cylinders of the system return to their home position and the
protective door is unlocked. You can use the [Standby] button at any time.
CAUTION
It is not permitted to reach into the transfer area or the operating range of the
gripper unless the module is in the standby mode.
