4.5. Monthly device maintenance
4.5.1 Cleaning system components
The following components should be cleaned with a disinfectant at least once a month, since
they come into contact with sample material.
• Racks
• Drawers
• Sorting area
• Waste tube and container
WARNING
Risk of infection!
Sample material and all unit parts which come into contact with the sample
material are to be regarded as potentially infectious. Owing to the risk of
infection, you must always wear gloves while carrying out work on the system!
CAUTION
Make sure to use disposable garbage bags in combination with the waste
container.
Use the special cleaning brush for cleaning the waste tube.
