2.7. Software description
2.7.1 Login and user rights
Various user rights are employed by the system, which are defined by different login
procedures and passwords. This determines the rights of access to the different main and
submenus.
Operators are informed of the necessary login procedures and passwords during the
installation of the system. The user login is set by default, meaning there is no need to enter
additional access data. To log in, the user has to press the [Log in] button.
NOTICE
Access is denied to the main menu items 'Reference Data', 'Administration' and 'Service' when
access is gained via the [Log in] button alone. This is distinguished by the light-grey font of these
menu items. Access to these menus items requires separate access rights which are made available
to specially trained personnel, laboratory administrators, or Roche PVT service technician.
When the system is switched on via the main switch, the operating system is booted and the
login screen is displayed.

Once logged in via the [User-Login] button, two of the main menu items ('Routine' and
'Maintenance') are available to the user for operating the system.
