4 Unloading the Instrument
To prepare the MagNA Pure 96 Instrument for another run, unload and discard the disposables and take
care of the used reagents and eluates. The Stage sub-tab indicates the accessories and disposables used.

When you open the load flap after a purification run, the cooling plate is removed from under the output
plate. The cooling plate is not put back under the output plate, which means the eluates will no longer be
cooled. Therefore remove the Output Plate from the stage and store the eluates on ice or freeze them once
the load flap is opened.
Do not switch off the instrument before opening the load flap after a purification run, because the result
file is not finalized until you open the load flap.
To unload the purification rack
Pull the purification rack all the way out of the stage.
First of all remove the output plate from the purification rack.
Visually check the output plate for presence of the eluates before performing downstream analytical
tests.
