If required you can store eluates in aliquots to prevent repeated freezing and thawing.
If the ambient temperature is too high, the start of a second purification run can be delayed. The incu-
bator plate then needs more time to cool down.
To unload the tip rack
If eluates are to be stored in the output plate cover them with a sealing foil.
Handle the sealing foil carefully to avoid injury.
Run your hand over the sealing foil to press it firmly onto the output plate.
Store the eluates safely at either
+2 to +8 °C
-15 to -25 °C
-60to-80°C
Equilibrate the isolated nucleic acids to ambient temperature prior to further analysis.
After thawing eluates, mix them gently by pipetting up and down ten times before performing any
downstream steps, e.g., PCR/RT-PCR, or OD measurements. The mixing volume should be at least
half of the eluate volume.
Remove the source plate (and the processing cartridge) from the purification rack and discard them ac-
cording to local regulations.
Insert the empty purification rack back into the stage.
Pull the tip rack all the way out of the stage.
Remove the empty tip trays from the tip rack. You can use them as empty tip trays in the waste rack for
subsequent runs.
If there are some tips left in a tray, do not change the number of tips in the tray manually. The re-
source inventory of the MagNA Pure 96 Software keeps track of all used resources and integrates
partially used resources, e.g., tip trays, into its resource calculation.
Insert the empty tip rack back into the stage.
