Handling Partially Used Reagent Sets
4.1 Handling Partially Used Reagent Sets
Partially used reagent sets are created if a purification run has not exceeded the number of re-uses for a
given set of reagents. Partially used reagent sets can be stored and used for another purification run. The
MagNA Pure 96 Database administers all reagent sets, see chapter "Software" in the "MagNA Pure 96
Operator’s Guide".
Discard reagent trays or bottles if they
Have expired.
Exceeded allowed time after first use.
Exceeded on-board time.
Exceed number of re-uses.
Contain residual reagents.
Are damaged, e.g., if a reagent container has fallen out or is missing.
To unload the bottle rack
Pull the bottle rack all the way out of the stage.
For each used bottle (MGP and DNase), pull back the clip and remove the reagent bottle.
Store the DNase solution at +2 to +8 °C by sealing the cap of the bottle with parafilm.
Store all bottles upright.
Remove parafilm from DNase bottles before performing a subsequent run.
Store the MGP bottles at +15 to +25 °C.
Parafilm is not needed for sealing caps of MGP bottles.
Remove the empty internal control tube and discard it according to local regulations.
Insert the empty bottle rack back into the stage.
