Removal and Installation (Cont’d)
Remove the cotter pin (Item 1) [A] from the retainer.
Removed the retainer (Item 2) [A] from the three master
links.
Remove the link (Item 1) [B] from the three chain
connectors.
Connect a chain hoist to the last bar (Item 1) [C] on one
end of the Rockhound chain, and connect a cable puller
(Item 2) [C] to the last bar on the other end of the
Rockhound chain.
Raise the hoist to release the safety chain from the
Rockhound chain.
Release some tension from the cable puller and lower the
chain hoist.
When lowered enough, one end of the Rockhound chain
can be laid over the front of the Rockhound frame and the
other end can be laid over the rear of the frame.
Installation: Use the reverse procedure to install the
Rockhound chain. Use the chain hoist and cable puller for
the installation of the chain. Use a safety chain for the
master link connection.
