Recycling and Disposal Information
Information regarding disposal and recycling are provided in this section. The node
controllers use the following items that require special handling for disposal or recy-
cling. At the end of its life, this equipment must be collected separately from any
unsorted municipal waste and disposed of as described in this section.

Node Controllers
The node controllers contain the following materials and must be disposed of by following all
facility, local, and national procedures for the disposal or recycling of electronic equipment:
• Aluminum/Anodized Aluminum.
• Circuit board with connectors and semiconductors.
• Zinc-plated Low Carbon Steel Screws.
• Stainless Steel Screws.
• Lithium battery (NC-12, NC LIGHT, NC-E).
• Alkaline battery (NC-S).
Packaging
The packaging for the node controllers contains the following materials. If the packaging is
not being saved, it must be disposed of by following all facility, local, and national procedures
for the disposal of packaging material:
• Cardboard.
• Polyethylene Foam.
