A signaling test session involves the following steps.
1. Connect your MS to the R&S CMW500, preferably using one of the bidirectional RF
connectors RF 1 COM or RF 2 COM at the front panel.
2. Open the WiMAX Signaling firmware application and click/press ON | OFF until the
"WiMAX Signaling" control softkey indicates the ON state.
3. Wait until the "Connection Info" panel shows "Network Entry Completed".
4. Double-click the "Mobile Capabilities" panel to view information that the DUT and the
base station/R&S CMW exchange during initial ranging.
5. Perform any of the measurements included in the "WiMAX Signaling" application or
WiMAX TX tests.
A more detailed measurement procedure is reported at the beginning of "WiMAX Sig-
naling" documentation; refer to section "General Description > Performing Measure-
ments". The general features of the signaling application are described in section chap-
ter 4.4, "Signaling Applications", on page 79.
The following figure shows the "WiMAX Signaling" main view with the extended "Mobile
Capabilities" panel.
