12.5.8 Reset values of the status reporting system
The following table contains the different commands and events causing the status
reporting system to be reset. None of the commands, except of *RST and
SYSTem:PRESet affect the functional instrument settings. In particular, DCL does not
change the instrument settings.

12.6 LXI configuration
"LAN eXtensions for Instrumentation" (LXI) is an instrumentation platform for measur-
ing instruments and test systems that is based on standard Ethernet technology. LXI is
intended to be the LAN-based successor to GPIB, combining the advantages of Ether-
net with the simplicity and familiarity of GPIB.
On the R&S SGS, the LXI functionality is already installed and enabled. Thus, the
instrument can be accessed via any web browser (like the Microsoft Internet Explorer)
to perform the following tasks:

Modifying network configurations
●
Remote control of the instrument
●
Performing SCPI remote diagnostics
