C Elements and Controls of the Graphical
User Interface
To get familiar with the display of the instrument, you find a summary description in the
guide Chapter 3.5.3, "Understanding the Display Information", on page 92.
This overview in addition lists almost all functional elements of the user interface, and
briefly explains the behavior when they are interactive. I.e. most of the elements are
virtual keys you can use to open a corresponding menu or dialog.
C.1 Elements in the Status Bar
Various status buttons in the status bar of the graphical user interface indicate the sta-
tus of the RF output signals.
The following is an overview of the status buttons. They are shown in active and inac-
tive state. When active, they change color and possibly the label. When inactive, some
of the buttons are hidden.
Remote
Indicates that the instrument is in remote control mode. The arrows are green, as long
as a setting is performed. When completed, they are white.
Return to manual control, as with the [LOCAL] key, see also Chapter 13.10.3,
"Remote Control States", on page 840.
Remote LLO
Indicates remote control state with local lockout enabled. The arrows are green, as
long as a setting is performed. When completed, they are white.

Freq
Label of the frequency entry filed of the corresponding RF path.
Access to the "RF Freq / Phase..." dialog.
Frequency Offset
A frequency offset is set for the RF signal. The icon appears instead of Freq.
Access to the "RF Frequency / Phase ..." dialog.
<RF frequency>
Entry field for directly setting the RF frequency.
RF Signal
Indicates the activity of the RF signal in the corresponding path.
Access to the "RF On" entry in "RF Mod" block menu.
Elements in the Status Bar
