For a detailed description of the impact of this parameter, see "Impact of the Additional
Trigger Settings" on page 240.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:DM:TRIGger:EXTernal:SYNChronize:OUTPut
on page 1006
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TRIGger[:EXTernal]:SYNChronize:OUTPut
on page 1064

External / Trigger Inhibit
Sets the duration with that any following trigger event is suppressed. In "Retrigger"
mode for example, a new trigger event does not cause a restart of the signal genera-
tion until the specified inhibit duration does not expire.
Applies for:
●
External trigger signal
●
Trigger signal from the other path
For more information, see "Impact of the Additional Trigger Settings" on page 240.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:DM:TRIGger[:EXTernal]:INHibit on page 1009
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:DM:TRIGger:OBASeband:INHibit on page 1007
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TRIGger[:EXTernal]:INHibit on page 1067
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TRIGger:OBASeband:INHibit on page 1065
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:MCCW:TRIGger[:EXTernal]:INHibit on page 1085
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:MCCW:TRIGger:OBASeband:INHibit on page 1083
(External) Delay Unit
Determine whether the trigger delay is expressed in samples or directly defined as a
time period (seconds).
To specify the delay, use the (Specified) External Delay/(Specified) Trigger Delay
The parameter Actual Trigger Delay/Actual External Delay displays the delay conver-
ted in time.
See also "Specifying delay and inhibit values" on page 242.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:DM:TRIGger:DELay:UNIT on page 1008
[:SOURce<hw>]:BB:ARBitrary:TRIGger:DELay:UNIT on page 1065
(Specified) External Delay/(Specified) Trigger Delay
The name of the parameter and the units the delay is expressed in, changes depend-
ing on the parameter (External) Delay Unit.
Delays the trigger event provided by:
●
The external trigger source
●
The other path
●
The other basebands (internal trigger), if common trigger settings are used.
●
Other instrument in primary-secondary instrument mode
