Asynchronous command
18.7.3 External application
The commands configure an external application that can be started at various events,
for example, trigger event, or mask test violation.

EXECutable:NAME <ApplicationPath>
Sets the path to the application executable.
Parameters:
<ApplicationPath> String parameter containing path, filename, and file extension
Example:
EXECutable:NAME 'C:\Program
Files\Wireshark\Wireshark.exe'
TRIGger:EVENt:RUNexec TRIGger
Usage: Asynchronous command
EXECutable:PARameter <AppParameters>
Sets optional parameters for the external executable.
Parameters:
<AppParameters> String parameter
Usage: Asynchronous command
EXECutable:WDIRectory <WorkDirectory>
Sets the working directory for the executable.
Parameters:
<WorkDirectory> String parameter
Usage: Asynchronous command
18.8 Acquisition and setup
Some of the commands in the following chapter are asynchronous. An overlapping or
asynchronous command does not automatically finish executing before the next com-
mand starts executing. If overlapping commands must be executed in a defined order,
e.g. to avoid wrong measurement results, they must be serviced sequentially.
