The task bar screen holds up to 10 softkeys. If the number is exceeded, the settings
dialogs are shifted to the background according to the FIFO (First In First Out) princi-
ple, but remain in the list of current dialogs.
Pressing the softkey leads you to the corresponding settings dialog.
Taskbar
The softkeys in the taskbar show active dialogs and graphics. The following table is an
overview of the different types of softkeys.
Softkey Description
Provides access to general system configurations like setup, graphics, remote, etc.
Access to general system configurations like setup, graphics, remote,
etc.
Shows the currently active remote connections.
Access to "Remote Access > Active Connections" dialog.
Tip: In this tab, you can show or hide this display of the softkey in the task bar, see
Chapter 12.4.6, "Active Connections Settings", on page 721.
1 = Measurement

2 = Sensor name
Shows a connected external instrument, in this case an R&S NRP-Zxx power sen-
sor.
The blue background indicates an active state.
1 = Signal graph
(thumbnail)
2 = Signal name
3 = Signal source
A graphics softkey is labeled with the signal name and the source, and shows the
thumbnail of the graph.
You can activate at a maximum five graphics simultaneously. They are all shown in
the taskbar while open dialogs are shifted to the next.
Tip: The symbol with the identifier of the signal source (3) is also assigned to the
corresponding signal line in the block diagram. Digital signals are highlighted
green, and the analog signals are blue.

1 = Dialog (thumb-
nail)
2 = Dialog name
Shows the dialog as a thumbnail, the dialog name, and the name of signal channel.
Access to the corresponding dialog
Denotes that no signal is graphically represented.
Access to the "Graphics Configuration" dialog.
