7.2 Required Options
The equipment layout for generating the RF signal includes:
●
Option Frequency (R&S SMW-B1xx) for signal path A
●
Option Frequency (R&S SMW-B2xx) for signal path B
●
Option Baseband main module, one/two I/Q paths to RF (R&S SMW-B13/-B13T) or
option Wideband baseband main module two I/Q paths to RF (R&S SMW-B13XT)
Option R&S SMW-B13T/-B13XT is required for simultaneously vector and an ana-
log frequency or phase modulation in the same path
7.2.1 Activating RF Signal Output
The RF output signals are deactivated in both paths. The previous state is restored
when the signals are reactivated.
If the settings for the RF output signal are done, use one of the following to turn on the
RF signal output:
●
Select the checkbox in the "RF" block.
●
Press the ON/OFF TOGGLE or the RF ON/OFF keys at the front panel.
●
Select "RF" > "Config" > "RF Frequency" > "RF ON".
The current state of the RF output is indicated in the block diagram by means of the
different block color and the status of the "On" checkbox, and in the status bar.
To query the impedance of the RF outputs, use the command :OUTPut<hw>:
IMPedance? on page 810
RF On
Activates or deactivates the RF output by changing the state of the "RF" functional
block.
This function corresponds to the RF ON/OFF key.
Remote command:
:OUTPut<hw>[:STATe] on page 809
:OUTPut:ALL[:STATe] on page 809
